Uh-huh, I've been through those times too. The hype in 2022 was insane. Open Hotdog, iBox, casually buy a picture, sleep on it, and it’d go up 10x. Back then, I thought I was invincible. My mentor advised me to cash out, but I laughed and said, 'This time is different, the country is even backing digital collectibles.' At that time, everyone had the same logic: 'Buy the ones with good backing, buy this one because it’s a wild card, buy that one because xx Capital is pushing it.' It felt like seeing a big-name background meant it was a sure thing, but later we realized there wasn’t much of a background—just a bunch of regular people passing the bag to each other. Those who didn’t get out fast enough all became believers in the end. When the wind stopped, I realized it wasn’t that I could fly—it was just that the wind was strong. It wasn’t skill, it was luck; it wasn’t strength, it was the era. In the end, you couldn’t escape the fate of sneakers, Labubu, or CSGO skins. Every time, we thought it was going to change the internet like BTC did. Back then, it even had a friendly name: Web4. Making money is the easiest way to lose yourself. When money comes too fast, you start to think the world revolves around you. But among the geniuses riding the wave, nine out of ten are just regular people lifted by the wind. It took me losing everything multiple times to understand: when regular people make money during a boom, it’s a reward from fate; surviving after the boom is a victory of awareness. When you make your first bucket of gold, you should learn to cash out. Keep some money to play, but also keep some respect. Respect the cycles, respect luck, respect those moments when you think you’ve figured it all out, but it’s really just luck. The boom makes people fly, but self-awareness helps you go far. When you’re in good times, being able to calmly remind yourself, 'I’m just an ordinary person,' is key.
