Recently, three main viewpoints have been trending in the market. But after breaking them down, Silly Bro found that none of them lead to a one-sided conclusion. Viewpoint 1: The government reopening will cause a market surge. It’s a positive factor, but usually just a small boost from “removing tail risks,” not a decisive bullish driver. Regulation and approvals resume: SEC, CFTC, Treasury, etc., return to normal operations. If there are ETFs/rules in the queue, they won’t be passively delayed anymore (positive for sentiment). However, if the end of the shutdown leads to increased Treasury issuance, stronger DXY/U.S. bond yields, it could suppress crypto. Historically, during the 2018–2019 shutdown: Bitcoin hit the “crypto winter” low in December 2018, and gradually recovered after the shutdown ended into spring 2019. Industry observers also note that a prolonged shutdown could slow down regulation/approval processes, but a short shutdown has limited impact on prices. Overall, this is a positive factor, but a weak one. Still, this small boost is exactly what the major players need. Viewpoint 2: Midterm elections will cause a market surge. The next U.S. midterm election date: November 3, 2026 (Tuesday), which is “the Tuesday following the first Monday of November every year.” So, will the market surge in the year leading up to the midterm elections? The crypto market doesn’t have enough historical data. But the stock market does: Statistics show that performance in the 12 months before the election is usually weaker: the S&P 500 averages only about +0.3% in the year before midterms, significantly below the long-term average. In other words, history tells us that the market tends to be weaker in the year before midterm elections. Viewpoint 3: The market won’t do well before Christmas. Historical data is more relevant here: November tends to be stronger, while December is “neutral to slightly bullish, but with high variability.” This point is almost baseless—there’s no solid historical evidence to support the idea that “the market won’t do well 1–2 months before Christmas (roughly November–December).” #Crypto #BTC #ETH #MarketAnalysis #Finance
