Bitget's cumulative trading volume for U.S. stock contracts has surpassed $1 billion, and in the past 30 days, it ranked #2 in CEX capital inflow. Combining these two pieces of news, looking back now at Gracy's previous two public statements about allocating part of the assets to U.S. stocks—which got her heavily criticized—it all makes sense now. It was all part of the groundwork for Bitget's UEX strategy to transition from the crypto space to diversified assets, sacrificing herself to play the 'big game' Everything clicks now. According to her latest disclosure, U.S. stock spot trading is directly partnered with Ondo. Ondo's market makers trade directly in the U.S. stock market and mint U.S. stock tokens for users. When users sell stock tokens, the tokens are burned, and Ondo's market makers sell the corresponding stocks directly in the U.S. stock market. This ensures a 1:1 mapping at the underlying level rather than just price pegging, achieving liquidity on exchanges and chains that aligns with Nasdaq. To capture this incremental market, Bitget is offering zero fees for U.S. stock spot trading until December 6, and contract trading fees are set at 0.0065% until January 31 next year.
