We are leveraging public-private partnerships to upgrade and modernise hospital equipment, ensuring quality healthcare for Kenyans. Under this model, private players are installing and maintaining critical medical equipment, with hospitals only paying for the services delivered. Commissioned a KSh130 million modern CT Scan Unit at Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital. This state-of-the-art machine, acquired through this innovative partnership, will double the hospital’s capacity to 100 scans a day. It also includes a heart treatment kit and is powered by AI technology. We will install over 70 such advanced machines in health facilities across the country under the same model, strengthening access to modern healthcare for all Kenyans.(William Samoei Ruto, PhD)
