Some of you might be new to the trenches of BSC and don’t know how to spot shady project teams. Here are 2 super simple tips with over 90% accuracy, based on common tricks we used to see on SOL: 1. Check the Twitter account creation date. If it’s an account that’s been around for 2-3+ years but only has a few tweets or mostly retweets, it’s probably a bought account. 2. Look into name changes. If the name was recently changed and has almost no connection to the previous name, it’s likely a temporary startup. You can use tools like @alphagate_io or some browser extensions for this. Since extensions might have security risks, I won’t go into specifics—feel free to search for them yourself, there are plenty out there. If a project matches the above two criteria, and when you search the project name you find tons of cheap 50-yuan KOL promo posts everywhere, you can pretty much confirm it’s a cash grab.
