According to cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett, after more than 24 hours of the US Senate amendment process, there is still no sign of the cryptocurrency tax proposal by Senator Cynthia Lummis (proposer of the Bitcoin Reserve Act) passing. The time window for submitting the proposal to the Senate for discussion may have closed or the opportunity may have been missed. Previously, US Senator Lummis proposed adding a tax exemption clause for small cryptocurrency transactions in the Beautiful Bill, including provisions for tax exemption for small cryptocurrency transactions (below $300). In the industry's view, this will streamline the current practice of taxing both the beginning and end of core cryptocurrency activities - staking and mining of digital assets.
