According to BlockBeats, on June 27th, Cosine, the founder of SlowMist, stated that attackers of the decentralized stablecoin protocol Resupply stole assets through an interest rate inflation vulnerability. The attackers triggered price inflation by donating to the Controller contract of a new vault, resulting in an exchange rate of 0 and bypassing collateral verification. In the end, the attackers could borrow a huge amount of reUSD with only 1 wei of collateral. The hacker funds are currently converted into ETH, worth about 9.5 million US dollars, and the hacker gas comes from Tornado Cash.
