Summer Mersinger, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), stated that perpetual cryptocurrency futures may be allowed to trade in the United States. Mersinger will resign from the CFTC on May 30th and become the CEO of the American Blockchain Association. She has called for the CFTC to collaborate with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to develop a regulatory framework for digital assets. (TheBlock)
