Musk's approval rating in polls lower than Trump's federal cuts controversial

According to a survey released last Friday by Golden Finance, 35% of people approve of Musk's management of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), while 57% do not approve, an increase from 49% who held a negative view of Musk in February. The proportion of people who recognize Musk's work has not changed much, compared to 34% two months ago. However, the poll found that Musk's popularity is still lower than Trump's. In this survey, Trump's approval rating was 39% and his opposition rate was 55%. After Tesla released its dismal Q1 2025 financial report, Musk announced that he would invest more time in the company's operations. This poll shows that nearly 60% of people believe that President Trump's efforts to reduce the size of the federal government through layoffs have gone too far.
