According to BlockBeats, on April 25th, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing insiders, that the Chinese startup behind Manus AI raised $75 million in a funding round led by American venture capital firm Benchmark.
According to reports, this round of financing also includes the participation of existing investors, increasing the valuation of the startup fivefold to nearly $500 million. According to reports, the company called 'Butterfly Effect' plans to use this funding to expand into markets such as the United States, Japan, and the Middle East.
Manus released a universal AI agent in March this year, which can handle tasks such as resume screening, itinerary planning, and stock analysis, and has attracted widespread attention. The company claims that the agent performs better than OpenAI's recently launched Deep Research tool on multiple metrics.
According to Bloomberg citing Chinese media reports, Manus has previously raised over $10 million from investors such as Tencent, ZhenFund, and HSG.
