The Digital Assets Subcommittee of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing on April 9th titled "Innovation and the Future of Digital Assets in America: Adjusting Securities Laws to Adapt to the Digital Age," marking the first public effort by the 119th Congress to establish a federal regulatory framework for the $2.7 trillion cryptocurrency industry. The House of Representatives plans to release a revised version of market structure legislation in the coming weeks and review the STANLE Act next week, which is the corresponding version of the Senate GENIUS Act. The Republican leadership is striving to send the stablecoin and market structure bill to President Trump for signature before the August recess.
