CFTC orders Debiex to pay $2.5 million in compensation for pig killing fraud

BlockBeats News: On March 17th, according to Cointelegraph, Judge Douglas Rayes of the Arizona Federal Court ruled on March 13th that cryptocurrency platform Debiex must return approximately $2.26 million in stolen funds to victims and pay a civil fine of $221500, totaling nearly $2.5 million in compensation, for suspected "pig killing" fraud. The platform had not previously responded to the lawsuit filed by the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission), and the judge found that it had "unreasonably neglected legal proceedings".
