Why is that?

Because the essence of rock tea is the "rock rhyme." What is "rhyme"? It means it's fragrant when smelled, has fragrance in the water, and has strength in the soup. After drinking, there’s still a lingering taste in the mouth. Moreover, any variation in the mountain, variety, picking, processing, or roasting will cause significant changes in flavor.

Whereas the essence of Pu'er is "time." I especially like raw Pu'er; the changes are very noticeable with each brew. The first few brews have a strong aroma, the middle brews have a thick soup, and the later brews bring out sweetness. A few days ago, I drank some raw Pu'er that I brought back from Yunnan five years ago. Back then, it was quite ordinary, but now it’s incredibly enjoyable. Even after ten brews, it still has flavor. This sense of change is very addictive.
