What you wrote is quite good. My understanding of Base is not very deep, mainly because there is very little "innovation" in current public chains. It's just a matter of replaying some of the most powerful DeFi-related projects from the original $ETH on-chain and calling it "impressive." This impressiveness is often self-perceived, and in reality, whether users will use it and why they would use it is not carefully considered.
This is actually a form of "laziness in governance." A public chain needs to be used by users not just because it is faster, has higher TPS, and lower gas fees, but because it can provide users with profit or innovation, especially in the cryptocurrency field. It must either assist in trading or generate returns; otherwise, why would users want to use it?
As mentioned at the beginning, what does it matter if you move the protocols from Ethereum? Why would users move their assets from ETH? Are you more secure, or do you provide greater returns? If none of these exist, and it's just an ordinary cross-chain asset, how can you spark user interest?
Indeed, innovation is difficult, but this is the core of current public chain competition. Without users, where does the revenue come from? Why would users transfer or trade assets on-chain? Many public chains believe that having their own DEX or PerpDex is sufficient; this is incorrect. What unique assets do you have that can attract users to trade is what truly matters.
