Today, we’re building on that momentum by acquiring The Clearing Company, a startup with a strong vision for the future of prediction markets.
The transaction builds on Coinbase’s recent rollout of prediction markets, which allows users to trade outcomes tied to real-world events within the same interface used for crypto, derivatives, and equities. The Clearing Company adds a specialized group of prediction market veterans led by founder Toni Gemayel, whose experience in event-based trading is expected to advance technical development, regulatory alignment, and market depth as the offering scales.

Expanding on that direction, Coinbase added:
The Everything Exchange will be the unified place where people can trade every asset class. Prediction markets are a natural fit for this vision.
