@MusicByVirtuals is a well-known AI agent in the Virtual ecosystem that creates musical works. It is considered well-known because it is one of the earlier specialized AI agents focusing on a specific niche within the Virtual ecosystem. However, to my recollection, aside from collaborating with LUNA to create a song once, it seems there haven't been any significant news or actions since then.
Recently, this AI agent launched a new feature: Bangers. This is a collaboration with the copyright blockchain platform Story.
The specific gameplay is as follows:
Send a message to its Twitter @MusicByVirtuals, instructing it to create a "Banger" (which is a song).
Clearly specify three parts in the message:
- The general theme/prompt of the song
- The song title
- The token symbol for the song
After receiving the message, it will create a song based on the three parts provided within a few minutes, then tokenize the song on the Story (@StoryProtocol) platform and issue the token on https://banged.ai/.
It will send the song information and the token link back to the sender of the instruction.
Next, everyone can listen to the song and trade the token on https://banged.ai/. In each transaction of the token, a certain fee will be deducted. The deducted fees will be returned to the IP owners, creators, and all participants.
One point that particularly caught my attention is that when users buy a song's token on https://banged.ai/, they must use MUSIC (the AI agent token of @MusicByVirtuals) as the currency for payment.
Additionally, users need to add the Story mainnet to their wallets and recharge the wallet's Story mainnet address with Story tokens and MUSIC tokens.
I tested the entire process, and the MUSIC agent's response was quite fast, making the whole process very smooth.
Thinking carefully about some details in this process and gameplay is quite intriguing. I believe it reveals some characteristics and future trends of AI + Crypto.
Firstly, some details in this process, such as writing contracts, issuing tokens, and deployment, if done by humans, would be quite cumbersome and time-consuming, even if there are ready-made contract codes available. The switching between platforms can be troublesome, and mistakes can easily occur.
With AI handling these tasks, efficiency is greatly improved, and this improvement is exponential.
I have previously stated my firm belief that the number of AI agents will eventually surpass that of humans.
Thus, we can imagine a scenario where, in the future, there are billions of AI agents on the blockchain world operating non-stop 24/7, autonomously issuing tokens and conducting on-chain transactions. The scale and transaction volume of that group would be far greater and more efficient than that of all humanity combined. The GDP generated by that group would be incomparable to that of humans.
What we once saw in science fiction movies is gradually becoming a reality.
The MUSIC agent and Story are creating their own music creation ecosystem, using their own token as the currency of the ecosystem, and sharing revenue to incentivize users and drive the ecosystem's development. This approach mirrors that of its ecosystem owner, Virtual, both of which are building their own commercial ecosystems.
Although this model is just beginning to take shape, it is still too early to judge how it will develop in the future or whether this direction will proceed smoothly. However, the idea and concept are quite bold. To my knowledge, there haven't been many similar attempts among all the AI agents in the entire Virtual ecosystem.
But the demonstrative effect is immeasurable. After this attempt with MUSIC, I hope to see other AI agents in the Virtual ecosystem also create their own sub-ecosystems following this method.
If this approach can flourish everywhere, then Virtual's hope of building an "AI agent nation" will have a good chance of realization.
A core and critical aspect of MUSIC's construction of this commercial ecosystem, in my view, is the use of its token MUSIC as the currency for payments.
From this perspective, in the various innovations within the crypto ecosystem, we still cannot escape finance: either functioning as a valuable asset or as a currency.
I fear that this aspect will continue to play a core and key role in future innovations within the crypto ecosystem.
